ive been getting some big stencils ready for the streets but i wannna start off by doing paste ups first.....
the trouble is i dont really know what sort of paper to use which would be best for paste ups...
i started using a really thincheap table cloth paper but was really thin and was kinda falling apart.....
So what do you guys advise?

I've used paper from the office photocopier  seems to soak up the paste well. As you said too thin and it'll break apart but 80-100gsm 'normal' type paper you get for putting in office printers and the like works great.

European Bob ๐ฌ๐ง London Street Artist โข Art For Sale, by T*3 on Mar 4, 2009 16:53:13 GMT 1, i think it depend whats your pasting it onto. i found that if im pasting on brick or a wall i needed really thin paper or tissue paper or the paper will just curl away from the the wall. but had no problems using printer paper on metal, glass and plastic. i think painted newspaper is the way to go as i think it holds up on most surfaces with enough paste.

just try to go a thin as you feel comfortable working with. regular paper does work on (fairly) smooth surfaces, thin paper just works better 
i also found the paper to curl up a bit because of the paint (or curl a lot depending on the shape and the amount of paint) and thin paper is much easier to smooth out. soaks the glue better and since its easier to smooth out you can press it to the wall much nicer. extra plus is that its harder to remove because it tears more easily
did use some tablecloth stuff myself too and appart from the ugly motive in it i think it works like a charm. just have to be carefull putting it up but folding it in a good way can help tons...
ow and someone tipped me about the greyish paper you can get in stores to wrap stuff in... that stuff works beautiful... and is free
