I got some very useful info from a forum member earlier today.

I know it’s hopeless, but I would like to buy one too. Have a Vermin sticker. And other stickers and goodies.

But again I know it’s hopeless, so please don’t bother.

I think you wouldn't get one for less than 1k and probably more like 1.5k. Very rarely come up. I don't have one but would like one.

🤷‍♂️ never see these come up either, probably anything above £200.

What steps would you take to ensure you were buying an authentic poster? As opposed to a convincing forgery, sold with a heavy heart by the most charming and knowledgeable of con artists.

Fakes are a drag. But on the plus side, they typically come with delightfully engaging stories about how things were "back in the day".

Over the last six months, I myself have been putting together a due diligence checklist for this kind of scenario — regarding items beyond the remit Pest Control Office has set for itself, yet so rare that very few people could ever confirm whether such items truly were genuine.


My list so far:

1.  Place faith in god almighty.

2.  Pray and hope for the best.

3.  Does the seller have kind eyes? If so, that's good. Especially if my circumstances change and I have to re-sell. I can then assure potential buyers that the guy from the internet who sold me the piece for four figures:

(i) had kind eyes;
(ii) complimented my taste in art; and
(iii) confirmed that, back in the day, those really were the days.

It was put up over the market where Che merc was sold. It was then stripped and covered over with anti graffiti plastic art. He also did a couple of them in ornate gold frames.

There are sometimes prints of the one with wonky raybans on ebay and a few years ago someone was giving away prints of the one with spiral eyes but never seen them for sale.

or if you have one...just a photo of one in situ , that would be nice.
