Look at the recent price of prints over the last few months on here and at auction / ebay ?
Just a few that spring to mind :
Formica Flag : ยฃ5100
Rare Trolleys : ยฃ4800
Di Face Tenners : ยฃ3900 (inc 25% prem)
CWSB : ยฃ7K
Maybe a little low but i certainly dont think ยฃ20K is that crazy a price ?

ยฃ20k sounds more than fair to me for one from either edition. The last one of 50 to come to auction did not sell at ยฃ30k and that was way back in October. Since then we've seen two complete sets of the 6 color ways (edition of 20) fail to sell at ยฃ250k (October) and more recently at ยฃ100k in February. Imho, it is no longer the buyer but rather the seller who is "lucky to get" anything for their inventory in this environment. My hunch is that if you contact the dealers and submit a few absentee bids at the various auction houses and have some patience, you will get your Kate sooner than you think.

on that basis I think ยฃ20K for a Kate is more than fair and I would be pretty confident that one will be sold for around that money sooner rather than later !!!

What is incredible is that they were (and still no that far from) a similar price to the Warhol Marilyn - although there are around 3000 (?) of these.
The interesting question is what the kates will be worth in 40 years time !!!!

There are/were 10 different Warhol Marilyn images within the edition and each numbered to 250 for a total of 2500. I don't follow prints all that closely but do know there are 2 or 3 images from the Warhol set of 10 that carry a LARGE premium to the other 7 or 8.

Canvas is always more desirable because it is much more robust than paper and can often weather direct light much better for the long term. Also, as you noted that the canvas edition is only 5. Further, that was #1 of 5 which would theoretically carry the largest premium within the edition.
