this seller has refused to provide any of the specifics prior to the end of the auction...seller says the "Pest Control confirmation" will only be provided to the buyer AFTER the auction...hmmmmm

I think it's relatively secure. I also think it's real.

Full disclosure, I put in a bid.

Only thing that makes me hesitant is the lack of seller history.

Just out of interest why would you put in a bid so early? It seems pointless to bid on something until the very last second in my eyes? Doesn't bidding early just give heaps of time for other buyers to outbid you ?

And therein lies the problem with this one : there is no way you can buy this image because you like the art.

It is so outrageously tacky and ugly and ridiculous, that is can only be meant as a joke.

So if you were staff there, and thus part of the joke, this print has meaning and it connects, and that's cool. 

But if you weren't staff there, you can't seriously be buying this for the art. You are either victim of the hype (same one that has people buying unofficial LP for wayyyy too much) or trying to make some dough out of it (which is fine, live and let live eh)

I think that is the genius btw with this Banksy print. It has neither point nor value if you weren't part of the crew

Pest control always issue a standard email with gift prints or other promos like blowpop covers etc saying they will not authenticate such items.

Then people sell such items with these emails and use the emails as a form of provenance and legitimacy.

Tread carefully.

Really I quite like it I suppose it's down to individual taste I like the fact the style of the print isn't in a typical Banksy style

Thanks for the advice I've already got a couple of pieces so I'm not totally new to this I'm not looking to flip it so I'm not too worried about the COA as I know what pest are like on these gift prints. I suppose my thinking is most Banksy prints are available for sale all the time and these come up very rarely with as good a prov as this seems to have. The art market is a funny game and in the future as long as it's got very strong provenance that can't be argued with I personally see these being very sought after just on the fact so few were made compared to a normal addition. Also I'm with a few others in thinking that these will get authentification in the future when the dust settles.ice never understood Banksy's position on not authenticating these on pest site it says authenticating works to protect buyers from forgerys it doesn't say anything about unless it was a gift it's a strange stance to take the only reason that can be behind it is that he doesn't want to let the people he gifted it to sell it on why? Mostly these were students who when i visited anyway did a great job at acting dismal Banksy could of easily given a COA to each of them and if they sold them to get their first car or a deposit on a flat good luck to them would it of really harmed him? I think not so I for one don't mind paying what is not a lot of money for a signed and if it helps someone out all the better. Rant over
