I've been doing research into my first purchase for a few months now and visited a few galleries to see them for real. A friend has a lot of sprayed banksys which really got me interested. The only reason I ask is ive not found anywhere like this forum where things come up regularly other than the bay of course. Thanks for the help

no worries - if i'd been looking for months i'd know what hand and tm was...no offence / wit aside - you'll be fine - just take your time and ask advice before you put your foot down / in it.
ebay is cool - but as with here proceed with caution - and read other threads where people have been taken advantage of - you wish for...

as others have said in the past - there is room for error when buying a print with a coa .. even galleries have been duped in the past - nobody is perfect - a scammer is generally sharp / smart and sadly aware that demand leads to ... 'cutting corners' if you fit that bill you may fall down a hole.
scammers are also... spottable with enough detail - so ask advice !! (remember the vpn bloke ? ... funny)
..
(oh & be careful of people quoting refs from others who are in fact themselves .. tut tut).

Forum references for people who have dealt w/ the user are also great - there is a 'good dealings' thread. Or you can search the forum for that username and see what comes up.
If they can pull those off, then the only caveat is likely that it could be stolen or purchased with a fraudulent CC. If the user has been on here for a bit and can provide those pics, then it's probably a safe bet.
I'd still wait for PC just to be extra safe myself, but the above should help eliminate most if not all scammers.
