Stik Sleeping Baby, by tartarus on Sept 27, 2015 19:34:01 GMT 1, So what you really meant when you said "stik specialist" was in fact "he's squarity/ryca's framer" When it comes to bending the truth you defy physics at times. I thought people were smart enough to read between the lines. he probably framed the baby prints that you see in photos at the hospital. He is known for framing stik work. A little googling will make that obvious. if i need to spell it out to the lowest common denominator like some cheesy cosmetics advert then i will. dont think i have ever debated over a framer before. No need to big up pfg242, otherwise he would get no time to get my bits done my dogs also a stik specialist but really s**t a framing. No thumbs. what you should do is stop talking crap and hyping things! you make this place positively sketchy with your manipulations and ramping. says forum guardian so some will see that as trustworthy, which is a disgrace in truth.

I would expect any decent framer to sand and spray so no visible corners.

Stik Sleeping Baby, by iamzero on Sept 27, 2015 21:31:30 GMT 1, Sanding and spraying isn't really an option with lengths of gesso finished moulding dude. That detail would and considerable time and money to an already expensive job. And I've seen the finish on MFM white box frames and they're not sanded and sprayed either to be fair.

Stik Sleeping Baby, by tab1 on Sept 27, 2015 22:20:15 GMT 1, My guess would be easy sell up to 1.5k, may take a while to reach 2k or higher. As usual, what matters is not how much you want to sell but how much people are ready to pay for it... Looks like expectations have been exceeded judging buy recent auction listing
Only If the payment is completed , sometimes between parties vested interest to bid high then list more ;-)

Stik Sleeping Baby, by dodsi on Sept 27, 2015 22:28:55 GMT 1, I have phoned two local framers and they have both said the horrible words.. Dry mount!
I saw the ones float mounted in a box frame at the exhibition and really just want something similar for mine.
Should it be straight forward to achieve the same? The framer I usually use said the print would move around subtly and not stay flat?
Do I need to try another framer?

Seems to be pretty standard.

Stik Sleeping Baby, by Ddog on Sept 28, 2015 7:04:50 GMT 1, I've had a mega busy weekend so have been browsing but not had a chance to comment on here. Great day on Thursday last week. Good to meet some of the fellow forumites, 11 Hubble Bubble dodsi Steph Rat Catcher and others. Shame to see so many rent-a-queuer's with their little bags of cash with post-it notes saying what colour to get. Oh well. I must say, RYCA has absolutely smashed it with the quality of this print, in person it is absolutely gorgeous. Sold up some of my other pieces to free up wall space and cash to make sure this one ain't going anywhere. Not surprised it's in the demand like it is, and the prices it's fetching - it really is an impressive print. And stik is a great guy too! Halfway through the day I thought to myself, I'm not doing this again. When I had the print at home I realised it was all worth it!

Bet you wouldn't do it again if there was another drop next week
Nice work though. Great print and it's tougher than it sounds standing in a queue for 9 hours.

Is Becky the raffle ticket girl on here yet ? I really thank her for what she did , I love the print and probably wouldn't of got one if it wasn't for her and her tickets .

Think the guy asleep in the far left of your picture was taking things a bit far turning up with Stik legs

Since the 'Walk' print release i've noticed that Stik has stopped drawing a stik figure next to the signature. They don't even appear on the APs. I'm sure it's just because the edition sizes have grown. Makes all pre Liberty prints a bit more special.

Is it worth 2.5K? or 3K? Correct its what people pay for it but if you are guided by some initial eBay sales that can be so manipulated especially after all the hype on this thread. Once the hype dies down, what else can you buy for the same amount? Stik does commissions also. Correct they are more than 3K but for a one off compared to 1 in 100...tells me that perhaps 3K is the wrong price. But I've been wrong before!!!
