Maybe we could start a fake/forum thread, kaws I for one am sick of seeing fake tenners and fake kaws shit. I bought a Ben frost at the beginning of the year that was fake, a tenner and need I say anything about kaws stuff. I spent and he and a half checking on a pinnochio set and a set of Rea twins only to find out they were fake. Thank for the post, need more of this.

Wow...I wouldn't have thought this was fake, but it seems the volume of fakes are only going to get worse.

As Stik's tag is probably easy to copy, then a COA will be a must, but even that will be difficult especially on the volume that have been traded around?

Seen these before, every time one closed and sold another one was quickly available on the bay. They used to sell framed every time for around £100 - £200. I guess even fakes are seeing a rise!!!

The seller of this fake print bought it in good faith weeks after the release at Homerton Hospital, believing they bought it from one of the nurses. They put it up on Ebay recently and was emailed by an Ebayer informing them it could be a fake as they had done the same thing. They got it checked out and it turned out it was. They have since taken it down and kindly sent the print to Stik.

Ill take a crack at it. Not sure why? Stik is a one trick pony. Hes is not banksy and never will be. The odds of Bansky decreasing in value compared to stik is like hitting the lotto in my opinion. Wont happen. In terms of comparing each artist for values sake, I dont see Banksy dropping value anytime soon If ever.

Can you say the same for stik? Not a chance in hell. These two artists are dramatically different for obvious reasons beyond the art. But your saying that "hype" and "whats hot now" is comparable to an artist that is etched in history as one of the greats. Not just for the art but his whole process and worldwide eye catching meaning behind every wall piece he does.

I would NEVER trade a bansky for a stik. Not sure if I would ever trade or sell a bansky for any other artist ever. Its hard enough to find an authentic banksy as well. I am all for risk but there is no risk vs reward here. That is just batshit crazy.

I dont own a banksy either but plan on it in the future. It will be passed onto my kids. By the time they are old enough for college, it could be worth as much as a small life insurance policy imo. Maybe that one piece will pay for college. Thats the dramatic difference.

Banksy flags edition of 1000 is probably more output than Stiks originals and prints combined. A Stik piece will be way harder to get than a Banksy piece in 2 years time.

People have been dissing stik all the way down the line. Unfortunately (for them) they have had no effect on his massive successes so far, but they still wish to know better than everyone else.

That wasn't my point...I was not stating an opinion on theses artists, nor the trade itself 

Just saying that if today both of these prints are worth the same (am assuming this is the case given the OP's suggestion), then there is little sense in adding cash today, even if based on a differential in value tomorrow...

Honestly there so many variables (most of which not even related to these artists per se) that will impact value that all of this is opinion and speculation (which is fine for a forum banter,  but I wouldn't bet any kid's education on it)

I have no opinion on the trade. I just don't see the "add cash" point if these two are worth the same
