Why are some of these images taken in a gallery ? Please advise CAT - The GWB was taken at my framers so I had a record of the condition before and after. The Hirst was taken at the art show I bought it at. The condition is still exactly the same (having not left the frame) and been stored in Momart's art warehouse. There are a couple of stock images - eg. Eine, Allen - MM, and Fairy Obey print - as those are wrapped up. Both Invaders I took those pics of on my iPhone. I'm happy to provide full photographs of back, front etc to anyone who wants one. I'd rather not waste anyone's time before they come see it or it's shipped. The rest were taken by me at my place. Any other questions I'm happy to answer. I'd better get back to the PMs. |

Yes I agree. Fellow forum users have been great about sharing prices - thank you everyone who has! I was expecting around £16-18k as that's what a couple of galleries had offered a couple of months ago (and they have to add their margin).
In the interests of openness I've had a few offers over £20k. I was a little reluctant to share as I've seen people hassled for trying to bump up prices. I know this is above the market rate but I understand that as I did the same when I bought it - due to the condition and also I didn't know if I'd ever get hold of a signed one.
I'm going to leave it open for a few more days then get back to the people I've said I'd get back to. I've said to most people that I would rather it went to a private collector. Would prefer not to ship - but of course will if I have to. I keep hearing horror stories of them being shipped and lost/damaged. And insurance does not cover the loss of this iconic print.

So I won't be surprised when unsigned hits £25k. Of course mint condition pieces command a premium. But considering the price of signed the unsigned seem reasonable in comparison.

The buyer has put an offer in that I couldn't refuse for a quick sale - she happily agrees that this is far over current value. I'm satisfied that this is a sale to a genuine collector. Fully paid and delivered today.
Also it looks like Photobucket couldn't cope with the bandwidth so I've moved the pics. I've updated with some prices too. Any other offers are welcome else I'll sort everything this week.
