Time to grow a little and try something new. This seems like an pretty unfair / uninformed statement. If I am not mistaken Nick has had two themed solo shows thus far. (Correct me if I am wrong) Psycolourgy which was inspired by famous artworks with his choice of wording on the chips and recently Paramore which I think you will agree takes a different approach all together. I'd think he is exploring his choice of medium with the pantone chips mixed with text and by no means would I say I am tired of it. |

I said that already. Unless your intimate with Hockneys work, you would not know this image. Especially in this Nick Smith art form. But this guys attempt to make me feel dumb about an image from an artist before I was born is hilarious and a fail. I do find Hockney's interpretation of SoCal as an English artist to be quite interesting and well done, and the original of this painting wonderful. And his camera obscure work was fascinating.
If I was British and had grown up with Hockney, this piece would resonate more, although I like it anyway. It is well done, like the original.
And while I've been tired of the Pantone chip thing for ages, as one can find a Pantone chip art piece in any graduating art class exhibit (and drink out of Pantone chip coffee mugs while looking at said art), Nick seems to do the Pantone chip thing as well or better than anyone.

Just my 2 cents, but I will say as a long time NYC'er who first hit MOMA on a 5th grade field trip and have been hitting the museums for the last 35 years since, Hockney is not at the forefront of visibility or discussion in NYC. Recognized as one of the Pop masters, and yes British (we don't talk much of Blake here if at all), but not in everyday modern art discussions that I've observed. Based on auction prices highly desired but maybe second tier in the pantheon. Really annoyed as I can see it on the site but can't get the delivery outside US. Can't even see Paypall option that someone suggested above. Not sure of the logic of not shipping outside the States. Not going to stop people visiting a new site. I've emailed and they said it 'might' go on UK site at a later date (presumably if only if it doesn't sell out). Annoying.

As other`s mentioned, just buy it via Paypal, you can then have it sent to any address (not just US) all the stuff still ships from Brighton anyway - not even sure why they have set up this new "US" site? |

Processed colors will never match Pantone colors. Some will even be quite off.
Would make more sense to print a silk screen using the actual PMS inks. That I would buy.
