I can't believe someone paid that for some dodgy stencils on battered old streetsigns with zero provenance or confirmation from the artist. WTF would anyone do with these anyway? It's not like someone who can drop 5k for them will hang them in his/her livingroom next to the B+O speakers! It must have been a speculative investment if you ask me. I hope that someone starts making more noise about fakes on ebay soon. I mean if the man has had his name and tag trademarked as per that recent thread on here and this new authentication service's rumoured launch at some point, then we can hope that such scams will soon be a thing of the past and the people behind them will be prosecuted for whatever the crime is called (copyright/trademark infringement, being a cvntfaced scumbag etc).
