There are others on here who will remember all the details. My hazy memory is that these are early prints (2003?). Unsigned. This one, a golf sale and a LIITA with cccp printed in the background. Very rare. Very sought after.

I still weep at the thought that I hesitated on picking up pieces 5 years ago

What's your best art purchase this year?, by Feral Things on Dec 13, 2015 17:27:45 GMT 1, Whats the history on that - im not familiar with it? This was originally from a group of screenprints all produced on the same buff stock.ย They were printed back in 2002 at Screen One; S1 also later produced Banksy's first editioned print (Rude Copper).ย The other prints (LIITA, GS and CCCP) were unsigned and they were available at Santa's Ghetto 2002 but my (hazy) recollection is that this one and a HMV print were signed and were available at the anarchist bookfair rather than SC.ย They're all from an 'unnumbered series' and my (quite possibly incorrect) understanding is that there are 2 or 3 of each.ย It's a really lovely print; congratulations on the pick up, mouser .
The print has a nice reference to the artist's own history as the original bulldog-poodle (there were other versions in London and Manchester) was done at the Barton Hill Dugout where Banksy cut his teeth many years earlier.ย Here's a photo from quite a few years ago when it was already getting a little worse-for-wear:

I did say that I didn't know a lot, and that my memory was hazy. See Feral's post above for much more info.
I hadn't seen a dog print before. I am sorry if I caused you any concern. As others have said, amazing pick up. Congrats.

What's your best art purchase this year?, by natstan on Dec 14, 2015 4:33:03 GMT 1, For me, I consider grabbing a Pejac meadow on release to be one hell of a steal for its image, artistic content, size and pricing. Who needs rainbow colors when simple b&w makes for such a compelling image? The image just seems to grow on both myself and the wife every single day.

I picked up a few other Dan Welden pieces as well. Here's a link to the whole album of photos. These are intaglio and relief prints created using Solarplates. The one below has been heavily hand painted after printing
