Best tea of the uk?, by dodsi on Dec 30, 2015 0:26:39 GMT 1, I'm afraid you are all really very nearly correct with Yorkshire but there is a step up.
Yorkshire tea is made by Taylors of Harrogate. There are some famous tea rooms in Yorkshire called 'Bettys' who have their own 'tearoom blend' which is also made by Taylors of Harrogate but a slightly different blend. It's the ultimate - Yorkshire tea is the next best thing but the Bettys tearoom blend is really the king.
You may be able to buy it online from them directly but I always pick it up from the tearooms when I am visiting my home town.

Yes, that's the one - if you are in Harrogate or even York but I'm not from either of those places the one I go to is usually much quieter as they have 4 branches.
It's all very overrated but their tea is excellent. Just buy the tea bags and make at home.
I go to great lengths to keep stocked up living 300 miles away!

Best tea of the uk?, by jusdeep on Dec 31, 2015 12:11:30 GMT 1, That's some collection there Coach. I'm more of a coffee snob myself, although when I do buy my tea it's always from Wilkinsons of Norwich. wilkinsonsofnorwich.com/Default.aspx
Usually buy Young Hyson Green tea, peppermint, jasmine and chamomile. The Young Hyson is one of my favourite green teas, tried a lot and apart from the expensive powdered varieties this is the best in my opinion. wilkinsonsofnorwich.com/

Best tea of the uk?, by Deleted on Dec 31, 2015 12:38:38 GMT 1, Twinings Assam is lovely as is Taylors of Harrogate Breakfast Tea but my daily brew which is as good as any of these is any of the Aldi Specially selected Tea range (nothing fruity though) as previously mentioned this is not Tea.
But to be honest it's all in the brewing, length of time tea bag remains in the cup and the amount of milk used.
Important note:
Milk goes in after the tea bag comes out!! never, never should the two meet in the cup.

Best tea of the uk?, by Deleted on Dec 31, 2015 13:41:52 GMT 1, Chinese green tea and white tea is anti viral.
A cup a day or so is a sure way of preventing colds and similar.
Also raw garlic and a bit of fresh ginger.
Ginger is OK in tea and so is honey but not garlic.
Tea was invented in tea rooms during prohibition when alcohol was banned by the oil giants to prvent people running their model Tea Fords on alcohol.
I just made that up.
