Quite clever the way they've been consciously uncoupling..

I don't think that many people are traveling for this show. A couple thousand people, probably less coming for the show alone are not significant in the grand scheme of things for tourism I do yes, the exhibition would/will receive world wide press coverage. It's not just about the actual physical numbers of people walking through the door of the exhibition.
More about tapping into the new wealth of buyers , home / local market , bAnksy can be seen as a investment , social wealth statement etc , next show , Russia , Khazikstan , china , Thailand ? although some may see as poor alot of new wealth in these countries . Or just tap in to Saudi Arabia

I cannot help but think that this was a well orchestrated exhibition to give a leg up to Turkeys failing tourist market due to recent events. We all saw what Dismaland did for WSM and the power of Banksy to bring in the numbers. I'm purely speculating when I suggest Mr Lazarides had dealings with the Turkish tourist board of course It would have been a fantastic exhibition but we should all really steer well clear. Tens of thousands of people visit Istanbul for the monuments and and other cultural things as well as the food and the weather.
It has nothing to do with Banksy exhibition but unfortunateley the people behind it targeted tourists if the reports in the media are correct.

Looks like Laz went to Camden market and bought them out of all their banksy swag. lol. It's not tat. It's just affordable souvenirs for people who visit the exhibition. I doubt he will make a lot fo money from them and it gives people somehing to take back with them. If they are authorised by banksy it makes the "collectable" Get Laz to sign some, as art dealers can be just as important as artists in the long run.
I'd be happy with a couple of bits off that tat.
Would be at least a start to my collection.lol
nice to see something for the average Joe tbh.if cheap and tacky.feel free anyone to buy me as a gift. Haha.

Very impressive installation, basically a subway tunnel with passing tubes on screens, a little sweet- store, a room with printed T Shirts and other great details everywhere in the rooms.
