People trying to make a quick profit on them (flip), most of these went on soon after the drop. An earlier thread from the gallery suggested many of these had changed their minds and so the numbers on eBay now are less. They will eventually make there way into the hands of fans

Despite the flipping these are still cheaper than the WTNFU you are looking for. There is lots of reasonably priced Eelus work on here and the bay. Some of his prints are more in demand than others. Depends if you like all his work or more specifically the same prints everyone else chases NEISBAW & ATR!!

Some of Eelus's work doesn't have to cost to much. Underrated work in my eyes are 'conjuring' and 'summoning' I picked mine up at cost (if u look at the Eelus BSMD comp' thread u can see mine). There a good starting point.
I did pay the going rate a year ago for the numbered edition of ATR, but got a WTNFU at cost... NEIABW eludes me bit I will pay the big bucks when one comes along at the right price.
One thing about his work is there's a broad range of stuff and some hold cost price and others go through the roof.
Whatever you choose you won't regret it of all my art Eelus takes pride of place even in front of my Banksy

It's like when the black screen has been overlaid the texture of the other screens can be seen behind the black? Also there are a couple of white spots where the ink is missing on a couple of the stripes....only small but I can see them. Any thoughts?

I got a bit of stick a while back when received a damaged Bend Embrace (2 corner dings and edge crease)...I don't think its unacceptable to want a perfect print and I'm sure on most occasions, a genuine oversight! Saying that, condition is a little different from print process where inconsistencies do occur...
I've just had a print which also has 2 white specs on black which stand out like a sore thumb and find distracting!!
Drop them a mail with pics...I'm sure they'll exchange.

I quite like it because the texture below the black reveals the hierarchy of layers. It's a complex and very skillfully made print IMO. As far as the tiny spots go, that is definitely nothing to worry about. These are caused by dust getting on a screen and blocking out the paint in that spot and is expected with screen printed artworks.

I didn't see any micro dots because I wasn't looking for any. This is seriously a non issue. But I suppose if it did bother you, you could ask for a replacement. But I think you're scrutinising this too closely.

There was an issue with some ATR's and these were noted on the COA's but that was a variation in the colour overlay of the screens....
My question is what would all the Banksy die hards make of white dots and underplaying screens creeping through on any of there prints.

Not sure it would bother me, but if I bought something and wasnt happy with it or had questions about it - I think it would be silly for someone to tell me I was wrong in thinking that way or not entitled to be 100% happy with my purchase. |
