Fuck Pace!!!

If anyone wants to split a set depending on pricing we should start a list. If someone in NYC wants to take the lead, it's almost impossible to email Pace and get in at a good tier.

Thanks to all those that messaged me, all 5 prints are spoken for, and have been sorted, for those on east coast i will be dekivering in person per doscussion as agreed. These will be shipped from pace to me as i will not be in NYcity tuesday but my purchase of their basquiat print as well as the last kaws release arrived in less then a week.

For those requiring shipping, prints will ship overnight same day i recieve them. I ended up sellig at the same price to each person who purchased one which was well below 4k each so no need to call me out as someone trying to cash in and make a quick buck. I was just working to offset costs and offer up the ones i didnt want to those who may only want one or two prints. I understand selling immediately is presumably a flip but i wasntbselling for profit. But none the less , thabk you to those who purchased one or will be meeting with me to pick their print up and complete the transaction.

Ive decided to rendomly select and send one person the clamshell box and another the "11th print" which is more of a title page/print.

Again thank you to those who picked one up, if any one person doesnt follow through on payment or meet up, i will re-post what is available and keep the cost the same for whomever else may want to purchase.

I only want 1.  I have a friend who will stand in line to buy at 1st tier.  would be taking a big risk though having to sell 9 of these, not that they wouldn't sell, but I can't just throw around $40k(?) easy like that.

Secured my set just recieved and pai invoice, spoke with pace directly and i guess they are giving fkrst dibs to those purchasing in person on boyh HK and NY but said tbey are not moving as fast as no reply.

Not really feeling these, some in the set are pretty weak if they had to stand alone on a wall. I prefer his more vivid prints, especially Presenting the Past.

I'm not surprised this one wasn't as popular as "No Reply" as this set is defiantly a progression for the artist (for better or worse). I've always thought KAWS uses cartoons like Twombly used calligraphy: both taking a concept ingrained in collective consciousness and abstracting it to achieve a dialog with their audience. It seems like this series, and these black/white works in general, are focused on the exploration of the movement and character of illustration in general, sort of an homage to a often ignored art form that he clearly admires. Its nice to see an artist as successful as KAWS exploring new ideas and imagery, and not simply resting on his laurels.
