it doesn't appear that there was ever a lottery... for whatever reason i rather not get a link to purchase than wasting my time dealing with a total site meltdown. since registration was required, AR could at the very least anticipate the amount of traffic based on the number who signed up and know whether the site would be up to snuff.
oh well... crashed site = more hype
