Pieces by Yaacov Agam are still available on eBay, and I just saw a particularly nice one with a current bid of $81. For those not familiar, Yaacov came to fame for doing lenticular art (he called them Agamographs) in the early 1950s, and is rather famous for it. I've seen pieces sell in the thousands of dollars, and just today one of his works was up at auction at Dreweatt's.
For those who missed out, fear not. Pieces by Yaacov Agam are still available on eBay, and I just saw a particularly nice one with a current bid of $81. He got there and was told by Art Republic that the evening release had already all been pre-allocated! Not even a first come first served basis.

Ha, I think they only sold around 150 online, with no edition numbers (that I saw) so I suspect they kept plenty back for tonight. Will then probably put the rest online at some future point, especially now they can see there is a market for them even at ยฃ20 a pop (albeit for 2). |

It makes me incredibly happy. Somebody close to me suffers from depression and I wanted to remind them of how much beauty there is in the world, how there are always two ways to look at the rain.
(although depression isn't quite that simple).

No point getting angry with the gallery. There will always be some disappointed when a print is popular.
One thing that being here a while has taught me though, there will very soon be something else along that you want to spend your money on!

I nearly jumped on train to Brighton, but having had a pretty unproductive arvo at work full of F5'ing, I had plenty to do.
I have a wanted thread going but might as well fire it out on here.
I am a genuine collector and the only place this would go would be on my wall and enjoyed for years. I would love either variety and would pay above drop price.

Suspect people can live with not getting one but the technical issues are the galleries fault and they have seemingly added to the frustration of carting one and not being able to check it out. Surely with cloud based it systems these days they can Flex their IT capability for big releases like this?? It would give them great credibility of pulling off a decent release rather than the current situation of many p+ssed off fans

Got one in the cart, went to check out, and the thing crashed on me. By the time I got back on they were all gone. Would have liked one but not too fussed as something else will come along soon. AR really need to sort out their s**t IT system though.
