Low key - but there's a new Adam Neate exhibition at Elms Lesters starting today. Described as "a small, but perfectly formed, selection of new dimensional surface paintings, on canvas, by Adam Neate."
If I knew how to use and maximise link insertions on here it might prove a lot more appealing to those that do not know Adam Neate's work.

As well as seeing other originals, you can find out what, if anything, is available for sale. Alternatively give them a call +44 (0)20 7836 6747. It beats speculation. |

I know Neate is not everyones cup of tea and there are those that think he is yesterdays news simply because his work does not flip well which for many is a true indicator of a Artist success  but this guy will be around for a long while yet and is only beginning to scratch the surface as far as where his talent will take him.

The head portraits are so beautiful! They remind me of Francis Bacon.
The black with the red background is quite powerful as well, as the couple hugging.
Looks like a great show!

the works themselves are whilst not massive certainly a move on from his last place..
both in terms of style and general vibration.
never thought i'd say this about neate - but there's a positive vibe coming out of the latest works...

Really liked the portraits as usual. Fiona showed me the hand finished piece that was released before and it's so good in person. Hard to get a feel on the laptop screen.
