The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Daniel Silk on Jul 2, 2016 11:29:31 GMT 1, Or maybe elistism. Snobbery. Establishment. People that look down on others. Bullies. Education or intellect doesn't make someone automatically right. I find it amazing that a lot of card carrying socialist that like to promote freedom of speech and equality love to look down on others in the name of intellect. Some of the most well educated people I've ever met happen to be some of the dumbest people too. But that's only the opinion of a working class lad with only one degree. Very very true! We see this across this forum all the time.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by nex on Jul 2, 2016 11:52:07 GMT 1, Can we please all stop pointing out that the FTSE 100 is up to use that as 'proof' that the economy is fine. The FTSE 100 is mainly made up of foreign companies taking advantage of a weak Pound. The FTSE 250 is a much more broad and accurate barometer for how out money is looking right now. Te governor of the Bank of England, Mark Carney, has said that the BoE is prepared to pump ยฃ250 billion pounds into the economy as a emergency measure, has warned of a looming recession and has said that the outcome is 'bleak'. He is a far more astute and clever money man than I will ever be and I would say more than anybody on here. He has no reason to put any 'spin' on anything so I believe him far more than any 'snippets of facts' coming from the pro Leave camp. The fact that Farage criticised his outlook shows just what a snivelling clueless littles**t Farage is. So to recap: Pound has fallen Racist attacks up 500% FTSE250 has nose dived Boris has effectively done a runner as he never wanted to leave. UKIP now have a bigger toehold in uk politics. Mark Carney predicts major problems ahead. Scotland very like to have 2nd referendum and split the union. Spain trying to grab Gibraltar in joint sovereignty. For the first time ever Gibraltar are actually considering it. Cornwall, one of the UK's poorest regions, demanding the ยฃ60 million a year the EU gave them. Several large employers considering moving HQs abroad Tatar Steel deal fell through due to uncertainty of Brexit. Savers will be hit hard when interest rates get cut. But, hey, none of his matters as we all 'took our country back' and 'made Britain great again'
Facts and evidence the preserve of elitist snobs im afraid !

People making personal attacks on others purely due to them believing rightly and sometimes wrongly that the other person has a different opinion to their own.

I thought that you actively encouraged debates and opinons on here, are you now saying that you think people go to far, do you have limits set in place Daniel as it now sounds like a bit of a contradiction......
This kind of thing was minimal and kept in tow when you had guardians on board, it's a shame things have changed, but it's for the better yes....!!

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Deleted on Jul 2, 2016 13:14:42 GMT 1, In my view, people tend to be emotional rather than purely rational creatures. Forgive me if that's a statement of the obvious, but the leave vote has very much been a result of people believing their 'feelings' to of been ignored. This now needs to be addressed with rational and objective debate sure enough, but also with a true sense of empathy and understanding, on all sides. Without empathy and understanding, I can only see the anti-Intellectualism in society getting worse.

Then why is it fine to use the fact the FTSE 100 went down as proof that Brexit is bad? We'll do just fine not being in the EU, bankers will continue to be wankers, politicians will continue to blame everyone but themselves and we wil and carry on flipping art and blaming it on the art police. As you were.

Thanks coach. To be honest I'm sick of tired of the Polish getting the blame for everything in society. Now the Leave vote won it's just seen as open season on them.
As I said before not all Leave voters are racists but all racists will be Leave voters. Ask most of the UKIP, EDL, BNP members in this country what they think about the Polish (or any immigrant for that matter) and you'll see the ugly side of British society.

What I can't be bothered with is people who are intentionally antagonistic, people who are only out to point score and people with closed minds.

I agree - just like the casual racism and sexism on here - it's all a reflection of society at large -so nothing new or alarming
