Jack and Jill (Police Kids) sold at auction today at £13k+ fees. Seller is prertty spot on with prices, IMO.

UAA is a far superior platform for selling your works.

Spends on auction house but normally 20-25% fee for the buyer on top of the hammer price and then 0-15% for Seller off hammer price. |

In 2007, I traded an unsigned Napalm for a unsigned Jack and Jill with a forum member. I emailed Dora at the time and the print number for Jack and Jill matched up with the trader's name. He also sent me POW email on his purchase. Trade went off without a hitch and I framed it up and have enjoyed it ever since.
Recently, I decided that I would get Pest Control certs on all my prints. I previously had not been concerned about it because all of them were purchased by be from POW except for the one discussed above.
In taking photo's to send to Pest Control, I noticed that my print did not have a POW stamp. That is something that I would have noticed at the time and for some reason I think I remember researching it and thinking that it was ok. However, now I am starting to worry about it. I can't seem to get a definitive answer on it. When I compare the print to my others from the time, it does seem to be numbered with the same hand as my others but I know that may not mean anything.
Long and short of it is that at the time I was using my work email account and have since left that job and probably lost the emails from Dora and some from the trader. A couple of emails that he sent me through the forum are still there and have his name and email. Not really thinking of being able to do anything at this point but I am just wondering if anyone knows of any inconsistency in the use of stamps on this print. The number is in the first half of the run of 350.
Any thoughts?

Whynot just forego the speculation and half baked opinions of others and just fill out a change of name option on a pest control application? You can provide all the relevant info required. The stamp was well in use by the time cnd and J&J came out, pretty sure all should have been stamped, but not to say some didnt slip through the net. Bypass any uncertainty and just get it registered in your own name. |

I submitted it last week. I just was wanting to know the thoughts of those more knowledgeable than I. Sounds like you have all the knowledge you need, pretty much everything from virgin mary onwards should have been stamped as a rule, but, there are exceptions out there. Also seen a few prints that have been stored flat in folders for so long that the stamp has been almost completely flattened out again. TBH, i wouldnt worry much, if you did your checks at the time and still have the info etc, it should be easy enough to verify. |
