Banksy's Santas Ghetto Bethlehem, by craigf on Jan 3, 2008 23:27:11 GMT 1, I'm off to Tel Aviv next month on business and have sorted an extra day there to visit Bethlehem. I'll probably drag my collegue around with me, not sure how keen he will be, then again the spiff smoking cabbie sounds fun so maybe I'll leave him at the hotel ;D

Banksy's Santas Ghetto Bethlehem, by 'bric on Jan 5, 2008 16:31:56 GMT 1, hey craig yes thanks for the tip, ayyad for 3 days with 'bric (well he was there for a day) speeding, ghettos, smoking good leb, strip bars the works! the blokes a legend (classic american accent! ;D)! the trip was simply fantastic, worth evert penny even if I wasn't left with a gold flag for my efforts! But like i've said before I did have the bonus of putting in the final bids on the artwork! once again thanks for the tip mate +1
Agreed, I left before the strip bar action but he took me for a 'proper' kebab so I was well happy!

Banksy's Santas Ghetto Bethlehem, by gerry on Jan 6, 2008 12:29:03 GMT 1, Roll on my Sickboys!!!
Woah, didn't realise they had those out there too, thought they just had a similar one to the one at the 12 days show.
Sheesh, if you ever wanna part with them dood, let me know!
and, silly question maybe, but were they on gold, or was it just polished brass?

no they were all one off unique pieces to my knowledge, gold was the only thing they had in common, the price guide has them down as:
Acrylic & Spray Paint on Paper ;D ;D

santasghetto.com/images/
Look at the title line, and if you view source there are some very suspect websites listed...
I wonder if POW actually even care?
Well... there you go, sorry if you don't give a shit, I thought it was reasonably interesting, if only for a minute or two...

the problem is, you don't know what they have done
it's more worrying normally when they don't leave a "tag" (and yes, these guys are basically tagging) and you don't even know you've been hacked

Banksy's Santas Ghetto Bethlehem, by BK83 on Jan 3, 2008 19:13:51 GMT 1, I dont get it. What's the point in hacking the site and making it look like an old school geocities page? it's riduclous at least hack it and have some kind of witty remark about something pertaining to the reasons for hacking it.... otherwise it is pointless and they look like fools.

Banksy's Santas Ghetto Bethlehem, by rosstierney on Dec 21, 2007 2:09:45 GMT 1, I know I was one of many who missed the 3D - No Surrender release but this print is THE perfect Christmas gift for my father.
The subject tells the biggest story of his life & I know he would cherish it forever, for it's sentimental value alone.
I notice members have been receiving theirs already so I'd just like to put my interest out there.
I'm not looking for charity. I appreciate the time & effort you must have put in but I'm just not prepared to buy from a flipper.
I also appreciate you don't know me from Adam but I've only just discovered the forum & whether I obtain this print or not, I'll be sticking around!
If I do manage to obtain one, I'll be seeking framing advice too
Thank in advance.

Sorry Ross don't want to talk for you but the way I read the thread was that Ross was just seeing if there was any one out there who perhaps had thought twice about the image and was prepared to let it go for cost given the significance of the image to his family. Might be wrong.
