it was a paste up that covered NYC in the 80's and if my memory serves correctly (and I could be wrong) absolutely saturated the walls of the city.

He was relevant and cool with Revs late 80s / early 90s. I lived on St Marks between 1st /A in Physical Graffiti building, then on 9th/3rd in apt under Joey Ramone's apt - he flooded a closet of mine running water for a bath, ruining my gf's clothes.
Cost was cool then. Much like I guess Blek was. 25 years ago.

If Madonna were a piece of art then she'd be an open edition because she fucked half of lower Manhattan including former street scribbler Jean-Michel Basquiat so I don't think Cost's claim is particularly original or that high up the art food chain. It would be a far more unique concept if it centred on who Madonna hasn't fucked.
