I wasn't even consciously thinking about it. For 15 years, some part of my brain has been working on that. No wonder my performance at work has been a bit iffy this past decade. Thankfully modern planes practically fly themselves.
You can now thank your improved work performance and passenger safety solely down to me. ๐คฃ
In other news, after about 15 years of wondering, why the name Zedsy? - I was just doing the dishes just now and my brain came up with the answer. I wasn't even consciously thinking about it. For 15 years, some part of my brain has been working on that. No wonder my performance at work has been a bit iffy this past decade. Thankfully modern planes practically fly themselves. Itโs definitely a made up name. I know his name and his first name begins with a โZโ so that answers part of it (and wouldnโt be surprised if his nickname was Zed). He then added the โsyโ as he is influenced by Banksy. You can now thank your improved work performance and passenger safety solely down to me. ๐คฃ |

Pretty much each time I am exposed to a new piece by Zedsy, I let out a small sigh.
He has clear technical skill.
And, from what I can gather, no original ideas at all.
The role he appears to have embraced with great enthusiasm is that of a Banksy mimic.
Plenty of others have of course done the same. But usually for just one or two years, when starting out as artists. Whereas Zedsy has, for already a decade now, been advertising that Banksy is his god.
The lack of artistic integrity and independence here is puzzling. It's as if Zedsy feels no real need to find his own path, his own voice. He's like a 40‑year‑old still living with his parents.
This may be a case of low self‑confidence. Or perhaps low self‑awareness.
Either way, and even from afar, I find it uncomfortable to witness.
