Blu - World wide trap - This is Genius, will be worth ยฃ200 in anyone's money. A better stab at society than banksy has managed in a very long time. Internet has created a global consumer who has no personality or originality.
Monkey - A wallpiece gone wrong, if I stumbled on it 50 foot high in a street I would be amazed, this leaves me thinking what a lot of money and why is the guy photographing the monkey (a deeper meaning maybe).
Eric the dog - Just don't get it, but can see why people would.
Now hopefully I will have time for someone to post a world wide trap on here to have a look at the proper version before deciding whether to buy. It is refreshing to be able to take the time to look. Someone said that black rat press priced their art right because baggers cant turn tidy profits from them on ebay afterwards, this looks like a step in the same direction from POW.
As everyone is aware, you can buy loads and loads below the ยฃ100 mark, so if its not for you, it makes the decision that much easier.

The pictures of the Blu street stuff look interesting. Since I haven't been to Italy for some time and have not therefore seen any on the streets its hard to comment any more than that. Nu obviously rates Blu very highly and since he has seen some of the street stuff I will bow to his superior knowledge. If anyone knows of any of Blu's street work over here I would be very interested to go and see it.
As for the prints I think the stand-out one is World Wide Trap. It's a very interesting and thought provoking image. One you could stare at for a long time.
My personal problem is that I simply can't afford it at the mo. Now that is my problem and not POW's but I suspect that there may be many who are in the same boat.
POW and BRP are now at the same level pricewise for most of their works. If they can command those prices then good luck to them. I will still buy some of their stuff. I bought the Logan Hicks from BRP for example. I will still buy a Banksy from POW if given the chance.
But it seems that if I want art that I can afford I will have to go elsewhere - HMP, Souled Out Studios etc. In a way this is sad but I guess things move on.

The two best prints I've seen in a long time are Ahmed and Cli-Chรฉ - they're both unbelievable quality. Of the Dan Baldwins I actually think the Divine Revelations pair are the best quality wise that I've seen (out of them, Politics, Holy Fuck, Disneyland Black Horror and the Apoc Wow triptych) but the Black Rat prints top them.
I don't mind paying a bit more when you're paying for quality. But I do begrudge paying top whack for a print not up to scratch. But I've not seen either the Blu or new Eric prints so I can't say for sure about the quality, but I'm willing to bank on it not being the same as either of the Black Rat mentioned above. I'm tempted with the World Wide Trap print though... don't think I will to be honest... need to curb this spending habit (I say as three CTRL originals land on my desk ;D ) and I'm still hoping I'll get either Trolleys or Festival (my two LA favourites!)
