HUGE doesn't mean "too much" by the way, it means "HUGE". I own a BLU drawing myself so I'm certainly not complaining....

To be fair it was fairly enormous in comparison (110x85cm) and one of the nicer ones I've seen, but it still surprised me. I felt it was overpriced and was daydreaming about buying it when the price dropped by 50%, but sadly (for me) that won't happen now.
For what it's worth, I'd love to see the large BLU that you mentioned. Not because I can afford it, just because it's bound to be lovely.

You seem to be self projecting feelings on to me? I'm neither sensitive nor am I anything other than chilled. If I had an emoji as a face it would be this one. 
You said the price was huge, and while I took this as you saying it was too much, you have cleared up that you mean it is a large amount, which of course it is an I certainly don't disagree with that.
However as I said, it was the right price for me and the buyer and that is the important thing. (to us anyway)

You mention other artists and their prices. Are there any other artists you know of who's original work is entirely made up of drawings (sketchbook or not)? I am not aware of anyone other than Blu.... Possibly Phlegm although I have seen a few paintings also. Banksy, Os Gem, Kaws, they all sell original paintings more often than sketches that become actual murals for them around the world. As such I would think the pricing of Blu's drawings can't be compared to any other artist, as theres no one else like him... Pricing is therefore subjective, and not comparable. Imo anyway.

When something sells, no matter how "huge" (to me) the price is it's simply the RIGHT price, so this is is good enough for me ;-) BLU is certainly in his own League, we also agree on that ! |

i believe Blu's best drawings are the sketches for his iconic murals (& of those, my preference goes to work with the most OCD details and/or cutting political insight/humor)

which ones are you talking about sapi ?
I'm aware of a fair few including the inventory from pag in italy - from way back...
along with those from studiocromie , but they're long gone - those prices were a bit high even then.
Otherwise i agree an inv of blu's work would be cool along with images.
btw the word bit above is not actually what i mean / scary more like.
there was a larger Blu + Ericailcane drawing in a for sale thread on this board & the notes on the post suggest it recently sold for 12k (not sure of currency ($€£¥)) imho (from the webs), the drawing is nice (it really featured Ericailcane but the Blu contribution is not iconic). i believe Blu's best drawings are the sketches for his iconic murals (& of those, my preference goes to work with the most OCD details and/or cutting political insight/humor) the notes in that sales thread also indicated there was a "much bigger and certainly better" drawing offered from a gallery for "not much more" -- but that is now a dead end (the gallery has no inventory). if anyone saw the work or price, please share. since it is so difficult to find Blu's work, or to track his market, i am putting these notes here for everyone's reference. if anyone has more intel on Blu pricing or available works, please share (with as much detail as possible - please include links if you can so that we can verify to extent possible). which ones are you talking about sapi ? I'm aware of a fair few including the inventory from pag in italy - from way back... along with those from studiocromie , but they're long gone - those prices were a bit high even then. Otherwise i agree an inv of blu's work would be cool along with images. btw the word bit above is not actually what i mean / scary more like. |

One of these sketches was also published in the BLU 2004 – 2007 book.
I asked for the price and was quoted £ 900 per sketch.
I passed and bought a Blu print instead...🙈😅
