Wrong print, you're thinking of the Favela one, which is pony, this is the one done for the London Olympics and is PE's best print. Would be tempted myself but not at this price.

I hope you weren't suckered into paying this sort of money for it mate IMHO the fact is that PE has come out with more pertainant images since this was released. Sometimes that happens with artists. The world and the art world moves quickly so things rise and fall. Obviously QE2EU has become a very popular work. It's apparent that because it's Olympic time now the seller is looking to spark some interest in a not so much older print and that's OK. I just don't think at this time they are going to see the response they are hoping for. With the decline in availability of Banksy art and other top artist to boot they may just want to hold on to that piece because you never know what is going to happen in this crazy art world. I say put it in your man cave and enjoy it and the Olympics and one day the owner may be happy they didn't sell it. It is a good piece and honestly I'm not trying to discount it at all. Sometime things come round full circle. Remember what Banksy art was worth two years after it's release. Please don't start a new thread complaining about how I'm stating that PE is the new or next Banksy because we all know that's not the case and it's not what I'm saying. What I am saying though is that it is a piece you should really think twice or three times about before letting it go. |
