Today I was out bid by one pound, on the one which Daniel Silk had for sale eBay.

They are excellent works of art and depending on the piece, nearly impossible to find. Does supply and demand not play into the Faile market, especially works prior to 2011? |

You'll notice that even though the release dates for the Eelus print and Faile's Launch Tonight are less than a year apart, and the run sizes are pretty similar (100 vs 125), many more Eelus prints have exchanged hands. There isn't a long sales history for the Faile, which is why the price seems static. Offer enough $, and you'll have multiple sellers looking to sell their Eelus. Much fewer sellers will want to sell the Faile. All the older block prints are extremely difficult to find, and rarely exchange hands nowadays. In other words, Faile fans are holding onto their prints. 
I think another factor is the physical print size: the Faile is much larger and so much more expensive to frame (especially if you use museum glass). Not everyone can make enough wall space for such large prints. The Eelus is tiny in comparison - another reason why it is more "liquid" in the market.

I would anticipate that there is a lot more hardcore fan Base who less likely to flip and actually keep. There style is very solid. The whole idea of price rising is the fact that there has to be some volume and hence liquidity in the market to create demand and maybe just not enough come into the secondary market (across there whole range, small to large editions) to make the prices rise.
