Art Yard Sale • Brighton, by Schrödinger's Chat on Jun 1, 2015 5:46:35 GMT 1, Not so much urban art, but I bought these two for £20 each by Bonnie & Clyde, very wall/family friendly: What a steal on the Bonnie and Clyde prints! Are they the full size versions or a smaller new edition, remember liking them a while back but was put off by the £500 or so asking price. Same images, crazy to see them at £20!
They are mini prints A3 approx, so not a bad size. She was selling a new full size print for £200, which was also really nice. Always liked her style but prints have been a bit too rich for me, so I was well chuffed with these.

Too much bad juju is sadly forcing the sale as he can't bear to look at it anymore. Truly heart breaking ;-) |

They bagged numbers 2 and 3 out of the edition. Each print was unique so the arrows were different colours. Five were collected yesterday and one is still to be posted. |

the red and green edition of 23 were £100 the shot me down edition of 6 i believe were £150. hand sprayed originals on wood ranged from 200 to 300 depending on size. Hand sprayed shat-at and Tiffany's on paper were £80

Think he's just mad at the gross markup. Probably not sell at cost, but not that much over cost is what he's driving at. And these ain't no atr or neisbw to be fair.

The other screen prints he did there are some listed at £100 starting, I believe this to be cost. Which is fair enough, the seller knows they will get more for the print thru the auction.
My point is people should buy art to like art not to try and flip immediately for profit. The Shot me down was a edition of 6, so 1/3 of that release has gone straight on ebay, with a story to make out why they are selling.
I'd be much happy if the seller put on " got this at the art sale with the intention of selling for profit, starting at cost and if will find it's own price"
Still doesn't make me happy, as for selling the ATR at cost. Markets move on and demand changes, prints go up prints come down. A print that's been in a persons possession for a length of time and (won't make the wall/need funds) is fair enough and can be sold at the market rate (influenced by demand, artist popularity etc).... But come on selling before the paints dry, now that's just horrid!!!!

To see it now for £1500 is pretty grating.
As for the bad ju ju, I think the couple would find that time is a great healer, failing that £1500 might just be enough to paper over those relationship cracks.

Agreed the man eelus couldn't have been nicer...although a little overwhelmed by the demand...!! It was like a physical 'in person' version of a site crash!!!

If you want to see the finished article you can find two of them on flipping eBay priced at 10 times the original price. I was only half a dozen people away from getting one.
