It was the same last year. I think they see it as a way of marshalling the queue for those that turn up early, as opposed to the area being swamped by everyone when the 'open'.

Im guessing one reason for the "Republic Rupee" may be a lack of trust of the artist's. By AR controlling the money it means they wont miss out on there cut of the sales (a rather large cut too)

Then there will probably be a rush to change all the money back before the 5pm deadline. It's out me off of going completely.

Early birds got the Eelus goodies but PE was selling his stuff most of the day (they were just digital print scratch cards to be fair) and there was lots of other decent stuff there for at least the first hour or two. RYCA had stacks of smilies.
It looks like more artists this year.
I'd really like some Bonnie and Clyde bits if someone can help me out.

I think I turned up not too much before the opening with only around 15ish people in front. the money thing was a bit annoying hopefully they will be a bit more organised this year.

People were told to come back later in the afternoon for the finished pieces to be then told they weren't ready and had to be shipped to them at a later date. Later date was 3 weeks later and you had to hound them for it . Plus you had to pay for the shipping!
