New collab Martin Whatson / Sandra Chevrier print, by laurentbaboo on Aug 1, 2016 22:00:08 GMT 1, I agree, especialy with the print being pretty big, would distract too much from the image, but i like the idea though! Tucked away on the inside border between the glass and mount
Do you mean spacers? ๐

New collab Martin Whatson / Sandra Chevrier print, by honestcrooks on Aug 1, 2016 22:00:35 GMT 1, how did you get a MW tagged background like that!? is there a framer that can do that or is that custom from MW? I've seen MW occasionally sell the tagged spacers. I looked up larger pictures of Whatson's artwork and enhanced some of the tags in photoshop, put them all together and voila :-) The dpi (resolution/quality) should be enough to make it through a digital print at the local printshop.

New collab Martin Whatson / Sandra Chevrier print, by laurentbaboo on Aug 1, 2016 22:05:52 GMT 1, Are you actually considering cutting the print off, taking the number and signatures, and stamp away? Just a suggestion, i wouldn't be too concerned with the number and sig unless i was reselling it or needed to brag for some reason...
Well, without going into reselling, flipping, or anything else similar, what would be the point buying, at a high price, a print and take off most of his meanings, signatures from two diffรฉrents artists!

New collab Martin Whatson / Sandra Chevrier print, by mla on Aug 1, 2016 22:08:22 GMT 1, As you've asked, I would let the art do the talking.
Sure, but does the art in question actually have anything to say?

New collab Martin Whatson / Sandra Chevrier print, by laurentbaboo on Aug 1, 2016 22:11:37 GMT 1, Saying that, I do not disagree with the concept, and if you ask Martin Whatson himself nicely he would help you, but the size of the print makes it really difficult. On another note, I think it does work nicely on smaller print!
Just saying!...and showing off!!!

I understand what you are saying. Just not the point I was addressing.

As ever just personal taste and preference. You will find one person loves the border and feels it enhanced the print, the next thinks it distracts!!?? No right or wrong but if you canvas opinions that is what you will get....
