Pejac show London "Law of the Weakest" 22-31 July, by chads007 on Jul 21, 2016 23:40:37 GMT 1, Probably the emptiest opening I've ever been to and I've been to hundreds. Given the fact the 30 or so people who did actually make the effort to attend the opening went for the print they should probably be rewarded for their efforts! I'm sure the length of the queue tomorrow will be used to benchmark the success of the show but it shouldn't.
Today was the VIP night though? Think the official opening tomorrow will be very busy.

Pejac show London "Law of the Weakest" 22-31 July, by vei on Jul 21, 2016 23:40:44 GMT 1, Meadow came in foam. I'd be interested to know what people thought when they got them home and opened them up. ... 'with a cut here and there, I could use that foam as a nice piece of cushioning and insulation when I am sitting on the toilet' ... who knows?
I'm using the foam to cover the walls of a room in my house.

I'd echo this. For an 'exclusive preview' it was mainly the same faces from every other Thursday evening London show. It was incredibly empty too with only 150 or so people in a huge space. The show was good but the door policy was bizarre.

Pejac show London "Law of the Weakest" 22-31 July, by eye like on Jul 21, 2016 23:52:41 GMT 1, The art itself is fantastic. The best body of work I can remember for a long time. And the PDF absolutely did not do it justice.
However as an experience it left a little to be desired. It all felt as if it had been rather thrown together and last minute. No sign of Pejac at all and it was strangely quiet with none of the buzz that I was expecting. Given everything bar one canvas was pre-sold I think the decision not to sell the print tonight put a lot of people off coming. I'm guessing tomorrow night will be far better so go and enjoy!
The print itself works in my view really well. The lenticular process lends itself to the image, unlike many it doesn't have that gimmicky feel to it, it's actually quite subtle in a good way. Worth the money I would say.
I took a few pics, will try and upload...I'm new here so please be patient

Pejac show London "Law of the Weakest" 22-31 July, by wottagunn on Jul 21, 2016 23:57:23 GMT 1, handy that the prints are pre-rolled. Good form Max! To see his original works in person would be amazing. The sheer size of the paintings alone are impressive, let alone the detail and subject matter. I unfortunately missed out on my favourite piece (Bad Time for Lyrics) but I am happy for Pejac that, already, itโs been a huge success. Guy deserves it. Call it hype/whatever but his work is the most thought provoking art ive seen in along time.
Enjoy the show everyone!

Pejac show London "Law of the Weakest" 22-31 July, by 11 on Jul 22, 2016 0:05:56 GMT 1, Meadow looked amazing, whoever owns that is very lucky indeed but loved the whole show. I thought he could have made a bit more of the space as LondonNewcastle is a very big place so was very surprised they didn't have the car inside, which was parked on the street outside. Loved the piece painted on the floor :

Pejac show London "Law of the Weakest" 22-31 July, by Winter on Jul 22, 2016 0:08:35 GMT 1, In my opinion they should have done the opening and print release on the same night and filled the place. No one wants to go to the same show two nights running.

Pejac show London "Law of the Weakest" 22-31 July, by Blakeies on Jul 22, 2016 0:21:25 GMT 1, I thought this was a very impressive show! each piece different and with a different message and meaning, had a chat with both max and pejac and both very welcoming. People may grumble that the print release is tomorrow, but you can't argue with the quality of the originals and the body of work in the show. I think all bar two prices had sold when we left tonight. Not sure I can remember a similar show?

Pejac show London "Law of the Weakest" 22-31 July, by Flashback on Jul 22, 2016 3:49:13 GMT 1, Great night! A lot of hard work went in to it and it showed.
Everything from the pdf onwards was done well:)
I left after 9 and I thought it was a nice crowd. Not too busy but not too full. They kept the numbers right.
Lot's of happy faces. Nice to meet Max and his missus, and Pejac and his family:)
Looking forward to seeing everything again tomorrow...

Pejac show London "Law of the Weakest" 22-31 July, by case on Jul 22, 2016 6:57:46 GMT 1, Well, if i was a dog i would go for a print of nice looking peeable trees, too.
Looked like 5 people right now and the dog. Don't get irritated by the guys with pitchforks and torches - they're not queuing, just an angry mob trying to chase ugly case out of town.

Pejac show London "Law of the Weakest" 22-31 July, by Dibbs 45 on Jul 22, 2016 8:12:19 GMT 1, Pejac without a doubt has talent and skill as an all round artist. I didn't get chance to speak to him last night as he was hogging the limelight and rightly so. His work is varied so impossible to pigeon hole his genre. The show displayed this talent but the work still felt a little sterile in the massive space if I'm honest. The crowd was 90% UAA. So the board had a good turn out. The car would have been nice inside. I believe a ex member from here owns it. All said and done though free booze and nice art, whats not to like in an evening out. Well worth a visit, whether your going to stick a tube under your arm or to look at an interesting artist with interesting art or both. Shout out Inkspot Brewery did a nice job as well.
Enjoy today. Right I'm off to upfest to fuel my addiction more.

Los of very friendly forumites and of course, London was not that bad either And now back to big bad Berlin....
