Since this is 4x bigger 3K seems okay, I guess.

The condition issues seem tertiary or quaternary to other issues โ like technical skill, strength of artistic eye, and conceptual innovativeness.
But to Martin Whatson's credit, subpar talent (especially when combined with his derivative ideas and "calling it in" formulaic approach) does give his paintings a certain recognition value:
Those blob faces and the Photoshop 'Posterize' effect can be identified as Whatson's work from a mile off.

You'd be surprised - I have seen several Feather prints, Butterfly prints, and more at around $1000 or less recently. I find that Ebay prices can be quite inflated for main edition prints, and are not a good indicator of private market value. Maybe that's just me?
