If I were buying, I'd want to pay between ยฃ750 - ยฃ850. It looks like one just sold on Ebay for ยฃ1400 + shipping, so while that may be what you "want" to pay, I doubt you'll see one that low again.ย This is most definitely one of Martin's stronger pieces, and like I already said, not many pop up on the secondary market.

If we're talking ยฃยฃยฃ amounts at this moment, I'd say if you can grab one for under ยฃ1500, you'd be doing well!
For a run of 175 prints + variants (Like En Pointe), like I've already said, you don't see too many pop up for sale all that often. Two on Ebay now, and none for sale here. In fact, I can't remember when I've seen one posted For Sale on this forum. People just really like this print, and for good reason!
In contrast, there sure seems to be a lot more Conor Harrington mask prints changing hands, than MW Dancers

I think Dancer is hands down, Martin's BEST piece, and I'd say the secondary market concurs. It seems to be his most sought after print (from people here), and the asking prices seem to only be going up from what I see. What's it worth? Would be lovely if they were at that value as I have one framed by MFM and never hung that I am prepared to part with. Myself and agle spoke and could have probably agreed a price on it but I didn't want to deframe or risk a framed overseas delivery. |
