Pøbel 🇧🇻 Norway Street Art • New Print Release , by thisismyusername on Apr 25, 2017 9:53:22 GMT 1, In which sense ? Theres plenty of artists making black and white stencils with a splash of colour, you could argue that Kunstrasen has already filled the void left by Dolk regards flipable work. Yes I agree. Well played ;-) ( But we still can say that Banksy was the first with Lita. Rats with red heart or Girl With Balloon are not the same ) Anyway Dolk original style was shuffling too... Only Pejac and still Banksy - as we can see now in Betlehem - are creating new art or artworks with a lot of meaning and ideas, instead of copying and/or trying to approach the perfection copying Banksy... I think it's a pretty naive way of looking at Pobel, who has always focused a lot on social issues and our society in Norway. Just look at komafest in Vardø. That's what the majority of his work is about. Now i can easily understand that a large part of his art isn't appreciated in other countries since it's difficult to relate to what he's trying to say, but that's far away from not creating art with a lot of meaning..

sorry. No misunderstanding please. I do Like Pobel, Dolk, La Staa, DotDOTDOt, all Norway artists and stencilers. We just can maybe argue that last ones ( as for Blek also and a lot of actual stencilers ) are not very top, new, and are a bit repetitive ... But I like them too.

I think DOT's have several nice works, but i'm not sure how much meaning i'd put into it apart from "it's cool".
I mostly prefer Pobel due to the meaning behind the artwork, i think he's focus on cities losing youth who study and never come back is interesting, and how cities end up "dying" due to it, and his focus on the locals losing jobs.
though doesn't beat Dolk's vast quality works.
There's a ton of great pieces from Ghetto Spedalsk and Komafest that's never resulted in prints.
