If they're offering you a flag at 10k it's most likely fake. I would confide in someone you know that is familiar with banksy pieces, coa's, and confirm with pest control to ensure you're not being had. Paris Hilton CD's have also been faked and I wouldn't spend that kind of money on one unless you're really keen. |

Art Wanted, by LJCal on Jul 1, 2022 23:19:57 GMT 1, I think ยฃ10k for flag without COA is about right for private sale in the current market and given the nonsense at PC, if you post some high res images and snap the blind stamp and numbering can be easily authenticated on here, all I would say is be prepared to wait a lonnng time for the certificate and get loads of bullshit from PC, they're a complete waste of time. Without the COA it will limit the avenues if you want to sell anytime soon and will of course hold back value as a lot of buyers are not confident authenticating Banksy prints. it's probably worth around ยฃ15-18k in current market with the COA although I'm sure plenty of people on here in full denial thinking it's still ยฃ25-30k. I also wouldn't be surprised to see these hammering between ยฃ8-10k before years out if things continue on their current trajectory, so it may be when the certificate does eventually show up the market would have moved against you.

The Paris cd is via an art dealer friend who states source is impeccable. I'm not too worried about market direction next few years as this will be on my wall. I once knew an old woman who had an original Lowry hiding in plain sight by her front door (she had known him) and who told anyone who asked it was a fake. I liked her angle so much I thought I'd like to do similar one day. The Lowry was incredible by the way.

The Lowry was incredible by the way. given the condition issues it looks the part for sure, I think in that condition I'd be pretty reluctant, these are not easy to restore given the paper and the massive crease and finger prints are pretty material given they're slap bang in the middle of the image. I'd keep your powder dry and buy one in an auction in better condition with a COA, you may end up paying a little more but it will do better long term, I honestly believe these will be ยฃ10-15k at auction before the years out, I think even now you could end up around the ยฃ15k all in. |

One hammered for ยฃ10.5k today, so even with fees less than ยฃ15k and you get a PC COA. |
