Prehaps its easier to understand her work and appreciate it if you are female , i maybe wrong of course, but i just cant relate to her , or her work, purely based on the execution and nothing to do with her background i think her work is very weak , of course her life is very important in any of her work, but if you cant relate to that then the work has no relevance to me.

what i was trying to get across was that i cant relate to her as a person or her back ground and up bringing or her being female , (me being male, And to appreciate Emin's work i assume you must be sympathetic, and relate to her personal life other wise the work has no real meaning , based purely on asthetic appreciation alone i think her work is very weak.

The tent for example, theres many a child who have slept with lots of people growing up , sewing those names into a tent for me is not being creative and the finished work is not visually pleasing. To me she has always seemed to be crying out for attention, which in some ways is what arts about. But i dont see her as an individual or that interesting, just some scally dragged up from Margate , many people like her round them parts,

but same time appreciarte she has achieved a great deal , just not for me really. this prob makes no sense either but hey , who gives a fuck im going to phone my mum she is going to be very embaressed then im going out with my mates,, you have lost me here
