Are these not 2017 editions?

They were, but not so many sold (back in 2017, people would think very carefully about dropping £1,400 on an Emin print, even for an edition of 50).

Remaining copies of these and the other print from the RA 2017 summer exhibition (I Was Left Sleeping), as well as one of the Grand Hotels from 2016, went to White Cube and they are/were being offered at the original 2016/17 prices. As the word has slowly got out over recent months, they have found their way onto eBay and here at 2-3x gallery price and many have sold while there has been availability at White Cube.

I tried to be courteous and bite my tongue with the first sale in this thread, but upon seeing OP come back so brazenly and try to sell for a friend, effectively flipping 4% of the entire edition run through UA, made that a bit difficult.

There are a couple of weaker prints in the set, but most are strong and seem to be selling for £6.5-9k each on eBay. I’m sure if/when these hit auction they’ll be at/creeping over £10-12k each (particularly if someone with a vested interest is behind such bidding...)

I wouldn’t want to spend over £45k for all eight, but that’s because I’m mildly gutted I didn’t take the plunge and buy the set for what would have been £20something during pre-release (seemed a bit frivolous at the time, and I did get the two that I really liked).

Though if one is buying all eight, surely it’s got to be with a view to having up on the wall for 5, 10+ years, which probably makes the price paid today less relevant.

There is a nice T Emin Beautiful girl print on eBay. It’s not mine, I had one and sold it for much less a while back and I miss it.
Have thought of buying it back but it’s gone up loads. It is an amazing print

Sotheby’s price in Feb 2020 was £1,625, which you probably know. I think £1.5k is the right sort of level, probably insure for £2k but not too much more as although the works dimensions are decent, the image isn’t so big. Lovely print though.
