Love Emin but the neon works need scale to work - this one is far too small. Also, wouldn’t make the wall as I don’t like the message.
The Etel Adnan is nice though

Good question. On one hand, I’d love this in my collection. On the other hand, there are other things of hers on my shopping list for similar money. Stretch a little bit more and get a small original drawing/monoprint, or a lower size edition piece like a 2020 self-portrait. But going back to my first point, this is just one of those works of hers which really works and has universal appeal - beautiful, innocent image and text, well balanced composition. Many of things of hers don’t work on most people’s walls (crude language/sombre imagery etc).. This print ticks all the boxes for mass appeal. Also, sometimes the edition size is not so relevant to value - there are definitely smaller edition runs where maybe 25-50% of the run is in the hands of flippers (like those sold through IMMA recently), and editions of 200-300+ where 90% are on people’s walls, or at least being held in a plans chest for the medium to long term.

I really hope that no one is so stupid to buy this from you.

Completely agree! It's just a lovely wall-friendly piece. I love Tracey's work but a lot of it isnt really for everyone's walls - wether the image or the messaging. The print is on hold pending payment.

You can probably pick up one of the IMMA etchings for less than what people want for these

Looks like they're selling quickly around £700, several appear sold, just one left. I suspect these will rise quickly after flippers had their fill.
