Don't disagree, it's ok at first tier with the 20% off if you're a serius collector and taking a long term view. I also agree Emin is undervalued but you've got to get a decent print, there's so many crap ones out there. I'd say this is pretty middle of the road and certainly not worth what people were paying on 2nd and 3rd tier. |

Release the rest offering the 20% members discount, which a few get suckered into buying. Quickly mark as sold out. Which it didn't but you can punt them out at art fairs over the next 12 months from the back room.

All their stuff is overpriced and then they do this rather silly 20% discount that everybody can get. Just reduce the retail price by 20% and have done with it. It's obviously a manipulative ploy used to try and convince people that they are getting a good deal when they are clearly not. I also object to this tiered pricing that they do. Things should have a retail price and that's it. And then things are supposedly sold out and yet there is the 'enquire' button.
They represent everything that I dislike about the art world.

If you want people to make you a sensible offer set a sensible asking price. May I suggest asking anything north of ยฃ5,000 in this market will get you zero interest. If you seriously want to attract a buyer ask ยฃ4,000 and be prepared to be flexible.
