Loads of members on here in denial it seems.
I have and always have had a nice collection of banksy prints. But Iโm realistic. No point trying to live in a dreamland thinking that the market is healthy right now.
Sorry i ruffled some feathers but itโs only because you refuse to believe what I am offering is too low when in fact itโs very fair.

If you post something for sale with prices, the price police come over the top with "prices are ridiculous, good luck with the sale, you are trying to take advantage of uninformed buyers, you are a flipper and a thief."
If you post an offer to buy something with a price, the price police come over the top with "nobody would ever sell at those prices, you are trying to take advantage of uninformed sellers, you are a flipper and a thief."
Guys. Sellers ask for a lot, and negotiate down. Buyers offer a little, and negotiate up. That's kinda how it works. The belief that anyone dealing in ยฃ30k+ artworks is doing so in an uninformed way, and is in need of your "protection", is folly. And makes this place far less civil and enjoyable.
Just my thoughts. As you were.

prices are softening and if these fail to attract a bid at 150k from a grade A auction house in a sale that's had a tonne of marketing done, then privately 100k seems dare I say top heavy.
If a drone multiple of 50 isnt getting a bid over 60k and other prices are down then why would anyone pay more than 100k right now, its an edition of 300.
I dont own one but have several prints that have dropped significantly but I am simply being honest, I guess you own the tryp?

Others may have a different opinion but I think the last two at auction hammered around ยฃ12k/ยฃ13k and given the Christieโs auction this week it seems like prices (of most unsigned pieces at least) are still dropping. |

Good to hear, it's not nice people are getting burned but people who bought at the peak need to get realistic if they want to sell or be prepared to wait it out. I do think values will come back, not sure if certain prints will ever recover in real terms to where they were but there will be growth again. |
