Agree that some asking prices are ridiculous. There are people that can afford to (and do) pay the exorbitant prices, but for me graffiti street et al are not "realistic" (or "reasonable") prices. But they are a business and it's a free market & they can do what they want. I wouldn't be asking gallery prices if I were a private seller, I definitely think that's unrealistic. When buying from a gallery you get a continued provenance chain and guarantees etc. For some people that's really important. I sold a kit here for what I would call a "realistic" forum price, which is probably what grahamh is looking for.
