Nothing to do with you or me - i am just trying to find out where it was said it was a fake as (as far as i know) no brown walks had a coa - so are you saying they are all fake?

That is a serious case of Fraud there, someone should call the Police.

The seller who had it rejected at Forum Auctions has chosen to sell it again with another auction house.

You don't need a 3rd, 4th e.t.c reason not to pay.
If you keep looking for reasons to buy this you will find one. Its best to move on and keep your cash

LV90210 was right. it is a fake. so thank you LV for telling me. On his advice I contacted Forum auctions (where it was offered in January but withdrawn), Stik and RYCA.
I havent heard from RYCA, but Forum wrote back:
"You are correct we could not complete the sale as the vendor could not get hold of a certificate of authenticity and the buyer was not willing to continue with the sale based on our guarantee."
Stik wrote back:

Yes I just found out about this after the auction so not really Lots Roads fault. It is not in my catalogue and is not signed. It looks like a misprint, not sure what it is but its not on my record.

Stik then contacted Lots Road who sent me an email apology and cancelled the sale.
So I guess a lesson learnt - if it looks like too good a deal.....
Question is with the consignor. What exactly were you told by forum regards authenticity and when you went to Lots Road were you open regards the issues - surely if not is this fraud?

I'm glad that this has worked out for you in end ... ... so Stik does not even know what it is or where this print originated from (as it's not in his record or catalogue), although there are emails to confirm that it came from Ryan who is/was his printer and sold it as an AP of 2? |

Glad it worked out for you. Going forward everyone stay clear of these brown AP’s. Not sure I agree with staying clear of the brown walk APs. I purchased one a while back, which was signed/numbered and included a COA. If I'm not mistaken the brown AP was a smaller edition compared to the other colourways and it was known as the 'big issue edition' because proceeds went to charity. Like them or not, Stik's brown APs in general have always been smaller edition runs. |
