Haha I’m guilty of the same tactic, bought a signed poster from an NHS fund raiser which he endorsed and ditto he liked my winning bid!

javier catawiki is the next best thing to ebay.

While they have some real pieces, they sell a lot of fake signed/doodled STIK books & posters

I would not use catawiki as a guide price for a real signed STIK 

As for the like by STIK, what better provenance could you get

I wouldn’t dare to say if it’s fake or true according to the pictures. I really have no idea, but the doodle seem different to me, it seems the guy posted a picture of stik making a drawing, not his drawing

The thing with Stiks signature, is that they do vary hugely, depending on size, space available etc....The signatures within the books are much more free flowing, whereas the sigs on the prints are much fatter/squat - very different again to the signatures on the recent Hackney prints. It’s a very difficult one to judge imo.

The photo of him drawing is clearly not the same doodle.

After what you said I compared it with my signed poster (bought from someone 100% trustable in the forum). And yes, they don’t seem to each other at all!

A signed set sold for £3800 at Chiswick Auctions earlier in the year...

Stik Lovers - I'd guess it may well begin with a 4.

Stik Liberty - I just bought a blue one and that began with a 3.

As for whether either are a good investment , only time will tell, I felt i was paying a high price but tbh I've been after a few Stik prints for a while now and not many seem to come up on the market.
