I received a print for helping out with the show that I than sold a few months later. My friend received one for helping out with the show and he is not a member on here and asked me to post it for sale for him. I do buy and sell art to support my art habit for the past 10 years like many others on here do. I am also trying to build a budding gallery online and one day become a brick and mortar gallerist. Hopefully everyone now knows everything about the guy who has been a member on here for almost 10 years and has several thousand posts and over a hundred flawless transactions.
What makes you put the value at 10K though? Plus have you thought about auctioning it in Bonhams or similar auction house?

Hopefully everyone now knows everything about the guy who has been a member on here for almost 10 years and has several thousand posts and over a hundred flawless transactions. Nothing wrong with that, some great dealers started out as flippers. What makes you put the value at 10K though? Plus have you thought about auctioning it in Bonhams or similar auction house? |

I did not come up with the price of $10,000 - the gentlemen that I offered to help sell the print with came up with that price. The logic was that recent sales of the Liberty print edition of 25 was selling for $8,000 - $10,000 so a smaller edition of 10 would be inline or higher than those prices.

More like looking for a quick cash sale on here for the equivelant of the highest auction price without the fees.
Of course I would always say to buyers on here never pay the prices asked for prints by flippers and resellers.
It is very easy for someone to put something on sale here that they own or do not own and to have friends or others with vested interests post what a bargain it is and be quick cos auction prices are high etc etc etc. When the same people could also be behind running up auction prices on Ebay and other places
My view on here that for second hand prints people should always offer less than the asking price when the sellers are quoting gallery and auction prices as there are absolutely no fees or costs involved with selling on here and don't worry if you don't get the print as there will always be more offered for sale direct from the artists and galleries and apart from plenty on Ebay, also offered on here by flippers.
