can someone post the correct sentence to write there so i can change it and make things easier?
i just want to say that if someone wants to order more then one copy has to contact me before 'cause shipping costs are higher and that if someone wants to order some prints and the book has to contact me too 'cause i cant roll books into tubes and i have to do two shippings anyway. i could write it like this but it's not so formal. and it's sooo long and boring, isnt it?
thanks a lot! angelo

What was your first ever Art Purchase?, by mjar on Oct 21, 2009 22:45:33 GMT 1, Got to see a preview of this book at Fame Festival. It was due to be released during the Festival in September but Angelo wasn't happy with the some of the samples and was getting the printers to sort it, as he wanted them all to be perfect. What I saw was another quality publication from Studio Chromie. Great quality images of Sam3's fantastic street work and his drawings on really nice recycled paper, all bound into another must have book.

I haven't really given them a moments thought since as I thought they were screenprint when I bought them so was a bit disappointed when they arrived. Being blunt, are they worth anything do you think?!

But realistically I would guess they would sell for $500 to $1000 at the right auction house??? PdP? Who knows, but Archangel has been pretty well received on a critical level and collected by major institutions.

I still have them all, somewhere... My first "street art" purchased was "revolutionary woman" print by Shepard Fairey, bought on ebay in 2006. It's not on my walls but i like it still and never planned to sell it. So much better than what he does now...

What was your first ever Art Purchase?, by esfer on Jun 28, 2010 23:02:19 GMT 1, This is a great topic.
The attached Barry McGee pencil drawing was my first "real" art purchase.
Prior to this piece, I had only acquired a few minor prints. However, this piece required some serious thought before I eventually plunked down the $250 asking price !
Up to that point it was the most money I had spent on a piece of art and it was not an easy decision to make. Of course in retrospect, it was a no brain-er. This was in 1999.
I have since spent 100 times that much for a single painting, and as funny as it may sound, I didn't think as long or as hard about that purchase as I did about that McGee! Ha!
It is crazy how ones perspective of value can change over the course of collecting art for 10+ years.
I am really happy that I still own it, and it is one of my favorite pieces.

Seeing Dolks work on the streets of Bergen for years, I decided I had to have an original on my walls at home. So I made a visit to Handmadeposters, where Morten (at HMP) showed me some Dolk canvases (Last mona, grenade lovers etc), and i bought the canvas i liked most, and at a fair price

An online gallery then asked me if I would trade it for a Banksy Monkey Queen.
That was it my first Banksy for ยฃ250. I was hooked on collecting since then.
Oh the print.... All Fall Down / MANTIS
