I liked the first stuff I saw... The videos of spraying over a couple of shops, and the t-shirts he made were cool, and then the skeletal fire extinguishers which he gave away... then it all got a bit commercial, and silly prices for the sculptures and bad prints, and then milking the shop spraying to the point it looked like self promotion or perhaps he was paid to do it during fashion week...
But I quite like these new sculptures!!
Can't work out is I like Kidult or not!?

This guy is really not as you ( art critics, forum etc ) could think ( kind of hipster ) and comes from the suburb ...
His actions are particularly violent and painted at the extinguisher, believe me, he is one of the number one nme for the police , and Paris municipality.

the gallery next door had an exhibition of imageries of flowers by contemporary artists - like marc quinn, koons, warhol, cy, etc dozens of painting, sculptures, drawings and prints of flowers - and that was so sincere, pure and true...
Kidult's "VISUAL RAPE"'s pomp, and the lack of irony got to me, that's all.
i wish kidult the very best. and may he find success and happiness if he hasn't already. peace.

I like it, not so bad at all, I was expecting worst as you was talking about.
And for his detractors Kidult has stopped for a while since the ( hidden ) extinguisher -some were sold on eBay exactly - episodes and has been discreet..
I like artists that don't fall in a " routine " as Brainwash, Cartrain , all the Eaters of Campbell soups, still making Warholian prints, half a century after his dead... Or the usual periodically Faile and friends selling a print per month..
Kidult still has several projects ( videos per example too ) , he lost a part of his fans maybe since 2 years , but he is a singular artist, I like it and I applause his come back.
