Glad you like them! Thanks for the advice. We appreciate it and have now changed the dr.d 'Self Portrait' image on the site.

It is a problem deciding which image to put on the site, so we generally use a flat reproduction of the artwork so that people can examine the image carefully. We are always more than happy to provide photographs of works on request, and we hope that our descriptions are informative too. If people email and ask for what they want in the way of further information we will give it to them. We do like to provide a personal service. Ultimately these are luxury goods, which are not essential for life. People are only going to buy after food, rent etc. has been paid - so we like to make sure that prospective purchasers have all the information they need.

Everybody has different requirements, and we are not mind readers, so we do have to be asked!

The reason is simple. Another print house had seen the proof artwork and there were genuine concerns that the concept had been passed to one of their own artists. We therefore had to publicise the concept immediately in order to protect the interests of RYCA, the genuine originator of the idea. People who ordered the print had this explained to them at the time. Nobody lost out, and nobody who ordered was in the dark. The only people who have suffered are those who wanted to rip off the idea.

It is not the way we like to do things, but we we forced into it. It's a dirty world sometimes.

i like the concept, the caravan looks really nice
But the kid could have been much better. It looks like hes stretched horizontally too much. Also it maybe would have been nicer if some colour was added to the kid, for example maybe making the drips of the brush and paintcan red or yellow.

Lol makes sense, i thought he painted the whole van.

this is still a proof, the final print i'm happy with and a final picture should be posted soon. the kid is perfect for me. fat midget footballer...its a self portrait! love the comments good and bad.
