Im expecting my son to sell many of my art bits - He sometimes looks at what I've bought as if I am without taste!
He does like a couple of the pieces though so perhaps there is hope!

My sister has a DH and has it framed in her toilet.... its worth about 30k pounds and just makes me laugh when I use the facilities.... especially when she has a print framed from Portugal that is as vulgar as you can get, quite big and poorly framed that must of cost all of 50 euros and this is in pride of place in her living room..... the irony of it all! When I say that to her she just says '... I like the boat it reminds me of good times in Portugal - the Portrait (DH) I can look at but not all the time!'.... no answer to that!

Guess you just have to see it to believe it.... its not so much the price of the artwork its the horrific framing of the one she loves.... seriously an upgrade would be a frame from the pound shop.... actually the whole thing looks like it could have come from the pound shop and it is so out of keeping with the rest of her art.... Got a call from Germany telling me my card had been refused. Thought they taken payment on order (I went for 'Tulips ' right at the start) but it transpires they were taking it this week. Had a horrible moment of thinking I'd missed out before being reassured they'd kept the print for me. Have to say - excellent and friendly communication from Taschen so far.

Thought they taken payment on order (I went for 'Tulips ' right at the start) but it transpires they were taking it this week.
