Just to be clear, this is a crowdfunder to start a new 'purpose led' business. It's not a charity but that said I don't think that many people give any percentages whatsoever away from crowdfunders to charities when they're trying to get the funding to start a new business.
If you look at similar PJ brands like Desmond and Dempsey or sleepy Jones etc. The pricing for these is actually pretty competitive especially when you consider these are designed by some well known artists and are limited editions also.
The main aim of PJOYS is to help make mental health an everyday conversation. Michelle who started the company suffered from a severe burn out and depression and is trying to create a brand that can do some good from her own experience. Her company Livity is one of the leading social enterprises in London and has helped countless young people over its 20 years.
Michelle is also a mental health first aid trainer and pretty much spends all her time talking about mental health to companies and individuals.
Mind are also one of the many charities that are supporting Pjoys by the way.
The online platform will also be used to share people's mental health stories.
I hope this gives you more of an idea into the brand and maybe makes you give it a chance.
