I was just saying it can be prevented. They are the most affected.

It's a chance to own a genuine Kaws endorsed piece that will look great in your collection. Sure they probably aren't going to make money but who cares if you have no intention of selling - they'll look cool on the mantelpiece and you know they're not fake, which are basically the same price if not more. I totally get the frenzy me self tho obviously no need to rush - definitely going to get a couple when the site is up.

That's weird. I want 2 to pop next to my Shrigley thumb as well! With my Isaac Cordall Businessman on the other side. Shelf complete!

To summarize, the inventory available in the gift shop sold out. Mostly NY and LA buyers were at the front of the line. People said they had arrived to the parking lot at 1am. They purchased whole sets of companions (3 of each companion = 18 was the limit). The store had about 500 of the plush bffs and I think everyone bought their limit of 2.

I arrived at 9:10am and the line was already pretty long. I didn't get to the front of the line until about 12:30. They ran out of companions before I got to the front, but I was able to get a couple of bffs. They were almost out though. Probably only had about 20 left when I got mine. The museum staff said they had 500 in the store. Plenty of books, totes, t-shirts remaining. I expect the open edition companions will be easily bought for at or near issue price...so it didn't really bother me.
There was one print that supposedly sold to someone in the line for $18k. I don't know about that since I think it was one of the recent pace prints. It was a real frenzy (or bun fight as some of you might say)...got pretty tense as people started realizing that they were running out. Someone tried to cut the line and got called out. Anyway, a lot of fun. I will be returning to see the show soon.

One employe of the shop, who looked like he was managing the entire event, said that the rest of the BFF's will be released week by week. I only snagged a single BFF, but I was very thankful that I arrived in time to get one. There were only 20 or so left when I got to the actual point of sale. I have extra of the other companions if anyone wants to trade. Also have an extra black BFF to trade for something.
